@metaplexmovies to be fair the reviewer didn’t really seem to understand what they were writing about. multiple incorrect references, meme language “open the schools”, and character digs that had nothing to do with music. if you’re reviewing music, review the music.
@metaplexmovies this was not even a music review, it's literarily dig to Taylor personality 😂
@metaplexmovies Paste Magazine is barely a real outlet, these smaller outlets doing hit pieces on her is just classic twitter engagement farming. Notice that bigger outlets when they review her albums just write normal balanced reviews. New Yorker had a critical take with a byline, it’s fine!
@metaplexmovies Their previous reviewer got death threats.
@metaplexmovies It reminds me how Taylor Swift was litterally unknown in France before 2020.
@metaplexmovies It's because they spent half the review taking cheap shots at Taylor rather than commenting on the music. Internet bullies are often too cowardly to reveal the face behind the keyboard.
@metaplexmovies The language is extremely unprofessional to straight up derogatory...nobody has to like the album, her music and by all means feel free to voice it... but the mess I read, anybody with iota of sense wouldn't want to put their name on it with Bold letters for obvious reasons
@metaplexmovies The comments on that thread prove it
