I do not like that Johnson has brought aid packages for Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan in separate bills. It seems like Republicans want to take the mantle as staunch defenders of Israel while letting Ukraine and Taiwan fend for themselves. I suspect the bill for Israel will come first to force the hand of Dem support for Israel. If it passes Republicans will vote no on the other two. If that’s the case Democrats should block the aid bill to Israel unless it’s attached to aid for Ukraine and Taiwan. The US should never favor one nation over another especially when one of those countries is being bombed daily. Ukraine has the most pressing need for aid right now and if they aren’t going to get it then no one should receive aid until they all do. Let Republican careers die on that mountaintop. To give aid to one and not all would be a failure of epic proportions by this Congress.
@PrezLives2022 Americans have always been known to come to the defense of others. We’re the world’s police. We’re there for our allies in time of need. But whose need is strongest? Israel can likely fend for themselves, but Ukraine’s vulnerable against strong Russian forces. They need us most!
@medi8this @PrezLives2022 Ukraine sits against the heart of Russia. International law says it can live in peace with its neighbor but Putin is having none of it. Russias history has walked on the land he claims. This war is based on his version of the Monroe Doctrine. My neighborhood, my will be done.
