We hope you all enjoyed Dashehra Diwali Mela yesterday, the sun was shining. It was fantastic to see so many people from across the city attend our event. Thankyou! Please share with us your highlights of the day ?
Today is the day!! Head down to Albert Square and Central Library. There's lots of performances, dance, live music and arts and crafts, stalls selling handmade gifts, street theatre programme and a spectacular dance performance, our lantern procession and some scrumptious food.
Come and see the performance of the Malyalee drumming group at this years event. Chenda melam( percussion using chenda/Drum) is a traditional south indian art form most popular form in Kerala, for more than 300 years, which is an integral part of all festivals in Kerala.
