.@FranklinFoer talks to a Jewish high school student in the Bay Area. One of several quietly heartbreaking moments in @TheAtlantic's provocative cover story about American antisemitism. theatlantic.com/magazine/archi…
@mckaycoppins @Timodc @FranklinFoer @TheAtlantic Devastating. I hate this young man is being bullied like this . My parents always told me to remember the Holocaust because it could happen again -I used to scoff at them. Turns out they were right 💔
@mckaycoppins @FranklinFoer @TheAtlantic Why didn’t his magic underwear protect him?
@mckaycoppins @FranklinFoer @TheAtlantic The Bay Area has become a bastion of antisemitism.
@mckaycoppins @Timodc @FranklinFoer @TheAtlantic This is so sad
@mckaycoppins @semaforben @FranklinFoer @TheAtlantic It does seem a part of the story that American Jewry has been so obliged to identify itself w the Israeli govt even as the govt grows more intolerant & repressive. It’s not just the left making this identification, as this piece testifies. AIPAC, ADL & tradition insist on it …
@mckaycoppins @FranklinFoer @TheAtlantic Shameful. Bullying never stops,does it?😡😡😡
@mckaycoppins @FranklinFoer @TheAtlantic Why are Democrats so hostile to Jews?
@mckaycoppins @susanmathai @FranklinFoer @TheAtlantic My parents never said anything mean that I remember but I had a crush on the Jewish boy in third grade & remember being told I wasn’t allowed to talk to him. Such a sad thing when I look back on it. My father lived to see me date & almost marry a Jewish man. Not a peep about it.
