There is a capitalism-driven movement afoot to totally destroy every form of art and replace it with technology, and we need to see it and recognize it

@mattzollerseitz @BreeNewsome It started with recorded background tapes replacing live musicians.
@mattzollerseitz @vmenendezb I’m so confused by that article. They replaced a voice with AI. The artist Sara Poyzer was (understandably) upset. But the update is that it’s because she’s nearing her end of life and the family gave permission? Am I reading this wrong?
@mattzollerseitz culture & art critics and just anyone who shares info about art/ent need to push human made art only, and point out AI shows that make people/artists lose work and money - so the public can avoid that trash.
@mattzollerseitz It's because no matter how many millions of dollars capitalists accrue they'll never be able to match the coolness of being good at an art form. The kid with the guitar, the girl belting out a song, the guy standing next to a sculpture. The envy is driving them to destruction.
@mattzollerseitz @BreeNewsome AI is so exciting to execs who want to fire all artists to keep all the profits. Modern technology should be improving lives, but capitalism makes it so just, like, five people get rich and the rest lose their livelihoods. Art is immaterial to them 😞
@mattzollerseitz Yaheee is, but the publicly funded BBC here is NOT that.
