That is similar to every taxpayer having a $266,000 balance on their credit card to (buy) that great economy you’re talking about.

@mattyglesias Employment is local, inflation is national. It's possible to live where the employment situation is pretty good (e.g. Austin) or pretty bad (e.g. Detroit) but there's nowhere you can hide from inflation, because it arises from money printing in Washington.
@mattyglesias And those same Repubs are taking credit for funding for projects in their districts that they all voted against.
