@All_My_Ghosts @VerhofstadtQ @DailyPolitik I think that is the thrust of the argument against calling people immigrants, nationals, indigenous. It's a question of how far we want to go back? South America was never naturally white, but it has a significant white presence now due to colonisation and immigration.

@WillettMartin @DailyPolitik I don't think Bede and the monks of Lindisfarne would agree with you there. They were pagans/ monks were Christian. They burned and pillaged and then rowed back with spoils. Given that Britain was then an array of small Kingdoms the later Vikings did indeed come to invade.
