@FijianIndex Yes, you've not proven we lost a cent. Profit in one year can be $100M and -$100M in the next year. The policy was an excellent one. The only change I'd make is to increase the water extraction tax even more to 25c/L.

@FijianIndex You don't seem to realise that FW (Fiji) doesn't need to make any profit at all. That can be made by the parent company in the US. They could show no profits here, and so owe no tax. Meanwhile the parent company makes the profits overseas.

@FijianIndex Your hatred for the man is blinding you bro. Your math is not mathing. The water resource tax is based on extraction rate. So if they extract less water, it will result in lower overall revenues. Meanwhile we are getting more money for every litre they extract, which is the goal.

@newsroom_the Called viliyawa in Taveuni, Fiji. Some call them wavula but that's actually a different native vine in the same (Merremia) genus that is endemic to Taveuni. I've seen it kill a coconut tree.
