@CBCEyeopener after living in Boston & coming home, I can definitely say we have a VERY strong & distinctive accent here! Most notably how the "ah" sound in words like bar, car becomes "irr" when we talk quickly. It was a big shock to hear my own accent for the first time!
@TheCurrentCBC @johnfund Mr. Fund's statements about Trump being ADHD were tone-deaf & hurtful to those who have ADHD. I hope The Current thinks deeply about what kinds of commentary is allowed on its show and how to support non-neurotypical people instead of allowing guests to make damaging statements.
@johnfund I heard you on CBC radio today and you referred to Trump as having/ being "ADHD". This is insulting to people who actually have ADHD and perpetuates negative associations/ stereotypes about us. Please reconsider using this line in the future, it is not without harm.
