A public consultation is not a public consultation when no effort made by @DHSCgovuk to inform UK public it is happening. Only conclusion to be drawn from these ‘public consultations’ is that DHSC has already decided what it wants to do& doesn’t want interference in their plans!

At what point is a public consultation not one ? Shouldn’t the @DHSCgovuk have to take reasonable steps to make the public aware of these consultations? How is the public meant to know if @DHSCgovuk only publish it on their website? Surely 132 responses isn’t valid

@implausibleblog @TheMeldrew This is outrageous, poor little girl. There’s a PA at my GP practice, she didn’t introduce herself as such. I assumed she was a GP as I’d specifically asked to see a GP when I booked, she misdiagnosed me. People are dying because of PA’s straying beyond their scope of practice.

This supposed ‘consultation’ has not been advertised sufficiently to get an accurate picture of opinions on this subject. Was this deliberate so changes can be pushed through without dissenting views?

@drsanjoykumar @nottsinquiry Would it surprise you that in this MDT there's barely any doctors? Why do you think it's "gp to kindly" so many times. Also an MDT stated someone needs antipsychotics without starting it. Risk dumping on the gp is what NELFT usually does unless someone is under HTT.

Why does UK have a clinical oncologist recruitment freeze when UK has 15% shortfall of oncologists, causing hugely expensive use of locums &outsourcing & creates lack of continuity for patients?

@Penisenvy999 @Cartermill65675 My impression is very different from that of Grok. Much younger than Grok suggests. Has a job in admin, possibly related to NHS where they just humour him & keep him on despite negligible contribution to work as feel sorry for him. Difficulty making relationships of any sort.

It certainly doesn’t speed up seeing specialists. Due to insufficient training ACPs often do not establish correctly whether a patient needs or doesn’t need to see a specialist or actually refers to the wrong specialist, as we are frequently hearing from 2ry care.

@mackey198 Advanced practice doesn’t deprive us as patients of anything, it increases our access and speeds up seeing specialists. It’s the single best development in UK healthcare since the NHS was established. Best bit is it’s going from strength to strength. 550 new jobs June/july

@Janeajnet @Anisocyte @mackey198 2/If no intention to do so in future then the wording needs to refer only to Drs & awarding of CCTs should remain with RCs, FOR Drs. Then 'Consultant' title needs to be delineated.

Possibly via the ‘skills escalator’ mentioned in workforce ‘plans’ which when I first heard the term, thought it sounded like something out of Willie Wonka, and in reality is just as much of a fantasy in comparison with post grad training.
