🇳🇦Namibia in History. On this day 1978, DTA founder Clemens Kapuuo was Assassinated aged 55. He was gunned down by two unknown men in Katutura. SWAPO and The SA Apartheid Government were all pointing fingers at each other for his death.
@mOkapendi I remember us running around in Otjiwarongo because they wanted all of us killed as they said that Awambo killed him that time were staying in the Herero location it was very scary
@mOkapendi He played a role in Namibian history, but their participation in the Turnhalle Conference, designed by South Africa to maintain apartheid, makes it difficult to celebrate their legacyeven the data doesn't support them.
@mOkapendi The rule for the fearful is to choose the coward's path. Clemens Kapuuo's end proves legends face shadows, not bravery. Remember him for his strength that made foes hide, not the mystery of his demise. #CourageOverCowards #RememberingKapuuo
@mOkapendi As a member of SPYL, I remember him coming to the rescue of us and all student after the closure of Augustineum 1972 of which I was the linchpin (ask me later). Kapuuo did that while SWAPO leaders, Meroro sat on his laurels.
@mOkapendi Swapo was assassinating anyone who worked for the Apartheid regime. That also included the first minister in Owamboland and King of Ondonga
