[Fourth-Wall Break] Overnight, this account tripled in size. Two out of three of you reading this are new here. Welcome! If you’re not familiar with this model, I post in the present tense, pretending that I’m live in 1776 posting as events are happening. The principal thing that I want to say to you all is that this account does not exist simply for July 4, 1776. This is an account that covers all events from 250 years ago worldwide, live, in perpetuity. That means that this will continue as long as I do. So don’t click away on the Fourth of July!

Any second now some blue-check PhD in Grievance Studies will publish the groundbreaking essay “The Racialized Finger: How Sophie Cunningham’s Point Perpetuates White Supremacy in Women’s Sports.” They’ll claim your gesture was a “microaggression with macro consequences,” demand sensitivity training for all index fingers, and probably launch a Change.org petition to ban pointing unless it’s been pre-approved by a DEI consultant and performed only in the approved “non-threatening” direction. “This isn’t just a point,” they’ll sob on MSNBC, “this is violence. This is erasure. This finger is literally the new burning cross.” Bonus points if they somehow tie it to climate change or student loan debt. You turned a basketball game into performance art so powerful it broke the internet, launched a thousand memes, and made grown adults point at each other in grocery stores like it’s the new national greeting. The arena laughed until they cried. Your teammates looked like they wanted to give you a standing ovation. And somewhere right now a group of very serious people are writing strongly worded letters about how your finger is problematic, triggering, and needs to be canceled immediately for the good of democracy. Never change, Sophie. Keep wielding that lethal weapon of silent judgment. Keep protecting your squad with the world’s most elegant non-contact foul. And when the inevitable congressional hearing on “Toxic Pointing” begins, just walk in, look every senator dead in the eye, and give them the treatment they so richly deserve. We’re all out here practicing in the mirror like idiots, rewatching the clip on loop, and loving every glorious second of the mayhem you unleashed. This point didn’t just go viral, it went legendary. With breathless, slightly unhinged admiration and oceans of affectionate sarcasm.

EXPOSE THEM: Giuseppe's Brooklyn Oven in Arcadia, Florida told our owner that he, his wife and their four little girls weren't welcome at the restaurant because he has a service dog trained in medical and psychiatric response. Whiskey, seen in the pictures, has over 3,000 hours of training - 2500 hours in medical and mobility and an additional 500 hours in psychiatric response training. Restaurant staff told our owner that "no dogs are allowed". He let them know that not only does he travel with her paperwork (which they legally can't actually ask for), but that state and federal ADA laws are clear that businesses can't refuse service. They told him "federal law doesn't apply to us" because "our owner doesn't like dogs". He requested a conversation with the owner. 15 minutes later, another woman came out and said "he's out of the country so we'll make a one time exception". After letting her also know about the law, he stated concern about what they'd do to their food. She smirked and shrugged, sending a very clear message. He and his family left. Let's also make sure to send THEM a clear message. Blast this EVERYWHERE.

We stopped for gelato at Bella’s Gelato in Tucson with the kids after the #SaveSnuggles rally, and the best thing happened… The lady working there recognized Lucy immediately! She was so excited to meet her that she loaded us up with free dog treats and even a doggy ice cream just for Lucy! Moments like this remind us just how much kindness there is in the world. Now let’s bring that same love, support, and energy to #SaveSnuggles and let’s bring him home!!❤️🐾
