Half the polls seem to be suggesting that Donald Trump is winning young voters. I'm not sure how true that is, and we felt it warranted deeper investigation. Biden's got some issues with this group, but they're not Trump-curious. For @SplitTicket_: split-ticket.org/2024/03/27/we-…
@SplitTicket_ For those of you who ask "why didn't you poll _____", the answer is simple: money. We were very lucky to be able to do this study (and the national poll in the coming weeks). It's expensive to poll, and S/T is a free organization still! We all have our own jobs.
@lxeagle17 @SplitTicket_ Since the analysis acknowledges that this is a difficult to contact group and live texting was used to address that, I was wondering what was the response rate of the poll.
@lxeagle17 @SplitTicket_ Okay obvious question and i'm sure you'll love having the shoe on the other foot, why no weighting for education?
@lxeagle17 @SplitTicket_ When so many disapprove of the two presumptive nominees, you would rather be the one with softer disapproval. Despite his polling woes, Joe Biden still fits that description best. Doesn't Trump and Biden have very similar very disapproving/very unfavourable marks?
@lxeagle17 @SplitTicket_ The whole narrative has been pretty distorted. There’s a big difference between a shift in sides to disillusionment with the side that is probably the only one you’d support.
@lxeagle17 @SplitTicket_ Incredible work! Very insightful. The million dollar question I have is why the heck is he so unpopular with younger voters? His age, Gaza, etc.? I feel like his record is the most progressive ever especially taking into account the makeup of the house/senate he’s working with.
@lxeagle17 @SplitTicket_ This shows a loss of 10-15% from young voters for Biden from 2020
