New York Times: "There are more Americans who say they have serious cognitive problems than at any time in the last 15 years, data from the Census Bureau shows. Researchers point to long Covid as a major cause." You can ignore COVID, but COVID will not ignore you.
The sizable increase in people experiencing different forms of chronic illness is a result of bad government policies. Allowing mass repeat infections increases society's overall disease burden. We must to more to prevent COVID and treat Long COVID. nytimes.com/2023/11/13/ups…
@luckytran .@threadreaderapp Pls unroll, thx.
@luckytran Long Covid causes inflammation of the brain from histamine mast cells. Antihistamines like Benadryl lower mast cell activity, try it see if it helps you.
@luckytran worldometers.info/coronavirus/ It's not COVID. There practically isn't any going around.
@luckytran @AllyNavv I hear you. But, tbh, I think at least some cognitive problems are caused by major societal stress occurring right now. The US has become almost unrecognizable. That can't be discounted as a source of mental distress, including cognitive problems.
@luckytran Well I took the three shots, and was planning on getting the 4th, but covid got to me first and I was hit the hardest.
@luckytran What I don’t understand is that businesses must be feeling these effects now. They must realize what’s going on. How profitable will these businesses be if a portion of their workers are suffering with long covid?
