Powerful and dangerous filmmaking by @seanlangan2 in which he embeds with Russian troops. Gruesome and sad and well worth a watch. itv.com/watch/ukraines…
@louistheroux @seanlangan2 Great documentary. One caveat, it was filmed probably about a year ago, so the situation is even more not in Ukr favor. And, yes, Sean can not escape Western propaganda narrative, sad...
@louistheroux @seanlangan2 Not available to watch in Oz.
@louistheroux @seanlangan2 Powerful and dangerous film making . Like you used to do😜
@louistheroux @seanlangan2 It's refreshing to see the other side. Ukranians from the East clearly wanted their side of the story told, so that was good - it deserves to be widely known. But then I felt like the doc betrayed these people and reverted to the simplistic Western narrative - Putin = Evil, done.
@louistheroux @seanlangan2 Yeah we watched this last week - brave work and having seen it for myself, I’m even more baffled by the plethora of complains @abcnews here received due to it being ‘propaganda’. It just goes to show how thoroughly bunkered down in our binary thinking many of us have become.
@louistheroux @seanlangan2 Saw it recently. Brilliant, and bold.
@louistheroux @seanlangan2 Any recommendation from you is worth a watch…off to bookmark it now!
@louistheroux @seanlangan2 I wish that the film maker had simply told the story. I found it quite arrogant that he labelled everything these men were saying as propaganda. They’ve lived it, we’ve been told about it. I really hope it’s not us who were wrong…
