In fact, he said “Many as are the virtues of the Moon Under Water, I think that the garden is its best feature, because it allows whole families to go there instead of Mum having to stay at home and mind the baby while Dad goes out alone.”
@lottelydia @BadSocialism It amuses me that the pub named the Moon under Water in our town is a Wetherspoons with a giant plastic moon in it
@lottelydia My daughter was a toddler when the smoking ban came in, though many pubs banned smoking before that. We'd have saved a fortune over the years if we couldn't have taken her into pubs. She's taking us on a pub crawl next month.
@lottelydia In Delaware we have Constitution Yards which is designed with the entire family in mind 👌🏽 constitutionyards.com
@lottelydia thanks for introducing me to The Moon Under Water
@lottelydia my favourite pub for taking children is the Aireys Inlet pub, which has a huge grassy area, with a little bunch of trees, and a boat in a sandy play area, all mercifully distant from the drinking and eating bits
