One thing we didn't want Loch to do was make you manage another seed phrase. Your private keys are derived from a signature made with your existing Solana wallet. Sign the same message again and you get the same keys. So even if you switch devices or reinstall the extension, you can recover your shielded balance with the wallet you already use. No separate seed phrase to write down.

Just because a payment is private doesn't mean you can't prove you made it. Loch lets you generate a receipt that anyone can verify onchain. It shows how much was sent and which shielded address received it, without revealing the sender. So if someone needs proof that you paid them, you can share the receipt without exposing the rest of your transactions. lochlayer.com/verify

There are two ways to send SOL from your shielded balance in Loch. Send privately lets you transfer SOL to another shielded address, or create a claim link for someone who doesn't have one yet. Surface lets you withdraw SOL to any public Solana address, whether it's your own wallet or someone else's. Both are available directly from the Loch extension.

The Loch extension is now on v0.1.2. lochlayer.com/install The Chrome Web Store is still on v0.1.0 since Google's review takes a bit longer. You can install the latest version manually from our website. Loch 0.1.2 - The dive-in transaction is about 80 bytes smaller (1,114 of the 1,232 bytes allowed, down from 1,196). That leaves Phantom room to add its own safety checks. - Phantom may now add those checks before you approve. Loch confirms the deposit itself is unchanged, and the screening service then co-signs the final transaction. - Loch tests the deposit against the network before Phantom opens, so a deposit that would fail stops early with a clear message. - The deposit now sets a limit on how much on-chain data it may load, which Phantom asks for. - The deposit now sets a limit on how much on-chain data it may load, which Phantom asks for.

Loch supports private SOL transfers through claim links. You can send SOL to someone even if they don't have a Loch address yet. Just create a claim link, fund it, and share it with them. They can claim the full amount into their private balance, with the relayer fee covered by the sender. Just keep the link private. Anyone with it can claim the funds.

One thing worth explaining about Loch is how private transfers actually work. When you send SOL privately, your wallet doesn't sign an onchain transaction. Instead, it generates a zero-knowledge proof on your device, and a relayer submits the transaction for you. The blockchain can verify that the transfer is valid without seeing who sent it, who received it, or how much was sent. That's how Loch keeps private payments separate from your public wallet activity.

For anyone curious about how Loch actually works, we've put together the technical docs. They cover everything from zero-knowledge proofs and encrypted notes to how private transfers work, what stays visible onchain, and the limitations of the current version. The code is also open source on GitHub for anyone who wants to take a closer look. No need to take our word for it. You can check everything yourself. lochlayer.com/docs

We're adding another 1% of the solana:CYGidBuS8WwUXfZCmb98LnLGL9Mx8SvhdqA6t3xTLoch supply to liquidity. Rather than burning more tokens, we'd rather put them to use. More liquidity means a healthier market and better trading conditions for everyone.

@Oathbound__ 100% of the liquidity is locked. solana:CYGidBuS8WwUXfZCmb98LnLGL9Mx8SvhdqA6t3xTLoch was launched through Meteora DBC.

Loch v0.1.1 is now available for manual installation. If you installed Loch using the ZIP file, you can update to v0.1.1 now. The Chrome Web Store update is still under review. Once approved, it will roll out automatically, so you won't need to do anything. What's changed in v0.1.1: - Phantom now signs your dive-in first, as recommended by Phantom - Your public balance now updates live while Loch is open - Minor copy fixes

People keep asking why we built privacy for Solana instead of somewhere that already has it. Because Solana is where people actually pay each other, and right now every one of those payments is public. Seemed like the place to start.

Part of Loch's revenue will go toward buying back $LOCH and supporting the ecosystem as we grow. That's also why we chose Meteora DBC for our token launch. We want the project to generate value that flows back into the token and ecosystem over time. We've also burned 33 million $LOCH, representing 3.3% of the total supply.

Loch is available on Chrome, Brave, and Edge. Just install the extension and connect your existing wallet. You'll have a private balance alongside your public one, all in the same wallet. No new seed phrase needed. chromewebstore.google.com/detail/loch/ch…

A Solana wallet is a public record: who funded it, who it pays, how much it holds, when its owner is awake. Every payment draws one more line between two addresses, and the lines never fade.

It's v0.1 and on mainnet. Read the cautions before you try anything.

What it can't hide: the amount and time you go in, and the amount and time you come out. We'd rather you know that up front.
