More proof that a huge chunk of the purchases #HogwartsLegacy got were just to own the extremist left. In a way the “boycott” DID have an effect.
@llouck7 It's also people who havnt beat it yet bc it's a pretty sizeable amount of content. Adults who don't cry on social media have lives and cant blitz a game like this in 3 weeks.
@llouck7 I would also argue that a huge group of "non-gamers" bought this and just aren't very good at it. My wife has been a fan since childhood and she's terrible at the game lol.
IDK. If you look at steam / trophy states for a good number of games (such as Witcher 3, FF7R, and so on) a large portion haven't been finished. Even shorter games such as dead space remake have only around 40 percent of people finish chapter 12 (final chapter). Hogwarts is longer, and released about 2w later FWIW I didn't play this game though, I'm not a HP fan so I wasn't interested from the beginning.
@llouck7 I'm guessing here but don't think that's the reason. I'd like to see completion rates between linear games and open world games. I have a strong feeling open world games have a much lower completion rate. I see a pattern of this in my own social circle and it might extend further
@llouck7 Well that's unfortunate. I finished it & enjoyed every moment.
@llouck7 Most people don't finish most games. I didn't finish Hogwarts Legacy cause I had to get back to reviewing Switch games. I might go back and finish eventually. This is normal.
