MOVIE #121: #AbigailMovie (4/25/24) — I wanted to love this one more than I did, but I did enjoy how nuts the third act got. And it's always a treat to watch Dan Stevens get freaking *weird*.

MOVIE #120: #TENET (2/25/24) — Saw it more than once during the pandemic (since I went ahead and sprung for it as a digital purchase), but it was only after seeing it in 70MM IMAX (with an edible) that I actually *understood* it. Or at least understood how to VIBE with it.

MOVIE #119: #MadameWeb (2/14/24) — #118 was GODZILLA MINUS ONE, though I technically didn't see it (parking trick). I need to start seeing good movies again, is my big takeaway from MADAME WEB. That, and apparently 2003 isn't as far away as it used to be. consequence.net/2024/02/madame…

MOVIE #117: #GodzillaMinusOne (12/4/23) — I am so glad that Consequence hasn't finalized our Best Movies of the Year list yet. I am quite sincere.

MOVIE #116: #StopMakingSense (9/29/23) — The second David Byrne's face came into focus on the big screen, I thought to myself "Cillian Murphy for the biopic" and that thought haunted me for the remaining 87 minutes. (GOOD MOVIE, though.)

MOVIE #115: #DumbMoneyMovie📷 (9/21/23) — Enjoyed it, especially because I am so proud of our boy Craig showing the slightest bit of restraint when it came to the needle drops. And now I actually understand the whole GameStop thing! (I was distracted by other stuff at the time.)

MOVIE #114: #BlueBeetle (8/23/23) — The cliches were out in force, but the family-focused approach (and the body horror) did add a lot of freshness, and yes, Abuela going HAM was exceptionally pleasurable. (I was unspoiled on her backstory, which made it all the better.)

MOVIE #113: #TeenageMutantNinjaTurtlesMutantMayhem (8/5/23) — So much fun, once again. I just want to curl up inside this soundtrack and never leave.

MOVIE #112: #Barbie (7/22/23) — Holy shit I never logged this at the time! But BARBIE is magic. I'll be seeing it at least once more before it leaves theaters.

MOVIE #111: #Oppenheimer (7/22/23) — Kicked off the ultimate double feature mostly by realizing, on second viewing, that they gave Matt Damon non-perfect teeth. The things you may only notice in IMAX!

MOVIE #110: #MissionImpossibleDeadReckoning (7/11/23) — I wanted to see it again for work reasons, and dear god do certain scenes not hold up under second viewing. Or first viewing, really.

MOVIE #109: #IndianaJonesAndTheDialOfDestiny (7/2/23) — Indiana Jones punching Nazis **should never be boring**, and yet this opening sequence remains a slog. However, it really does pick up after that, because we do not deserve Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

MOVIE #108: #SpiderManAcrossTheSpiderVerse (6/3/23) — Highly recommend AMC's on-screen closed-captioned screenings for those who might have hearing loss... or for those who want to understand what Spider-Punk is saying. (ilu spider-punk)

MOVIE #107: #YouHurtMyFeelings (5/28/23) — Wanted to see this before it vanished from theaters, and ended up going with my mom. Great movie! JLD's gift for physical comedy remains a delightful surprise.

MOVIE #106: #AreYouThereGodItsMeMargaret (5/17/23) — Just a perfect adaptation, beautifully rendered on every level.

MOVIE #105: #ReturnOfTheJedi (4/28/23) — Surprised my family with tickets to this at the end of a day at Universal Studios... By which I mean they had no idea what movie we were seeing until the opening credits rolled. What a delight on all counts. Perfect day.

MOVIE #104: #BeauIsAfraid (4/15/23) — I may never watch it again (at least on purpose) but I had a great time and love to see a big swing like this enter the discourse. It THRILLS me that this movie exists, because it's pissing off all the right people.
