Looks like Vite 8 is using Lightning CSS as the default CSS minifier! Most next-generation build tools are now using it, including Turbopack, Rspack, Tailwind, Parcel, Bun (a port), and now Vite. ⚡️

Lightning CSS v1.27.0 is out! ⚡️ Adds a [content-hash] pattern for CSS modules, enabling multiple versions of a library to coexist without conflicts. Implements "pure mode" for CSS modules, which enforces each rule to be locally scoped with at least one id or class selector. Thanks @kdy1dev! The next version of Lightning CSS will be able to down-level the light-dark() function using some CSS variable fallback tricks! This lets you implement dark mode without writing any media queries, and programmatically switch themes just by changing the `color-scheme` property. 🤯
