BREAKING: Fani Willis has just written a scathing letter to Jim Jordan after the House Judiciary Committee Chairman launched an investigation into their investigation. She stated: “Your letter makes clear that you lack a basic understanding of the law, its practice, and the ethical obligations of attorneys generally and prosecutors specifically." Willis continued to say that the purpose of Jordan's request "is to obstruct a Georgia criminal proceeding and to advance outrageous partisan misrepresentations. Your job description as a legislator does not include criminal law enforcement, nor does it include supervising a specific criminal trial because you believe that doing so will promote your partisan political objectives." Do you agree with Willis' take?
@krassenstein Well, one can argue that that is the whole purpose of having three branches of government. Not to promote partisan politics, but to have checks and balances.
@sphynxbtc Agreed, but trying to hamper an investigation and possibly hamper the gathering of evidence and witness testimony via political means seems over the top.
@krassenstein @sphynxbtc Is it hampering or just more checks and balances running its course?
@islantstudio @krassenstein @sphynxbtc It's hampering. Checks and balances apply to the federal government not state prosecutions.
