I'm reading a book a week in 2023. Classics, sci-fi, nonfiction, or anything people highly recommend. I'll keep adjusting the list. Start on Monday, done by Sunday. Might make lowkey videos of takeaways. If you want to read along, the current list is here: lexfridman.com/reading-list
@lexfridman You really, really should add Cryptonomicon to your list. I promise you, you will love Neal Stephenson. It’s a brilliant book.
@lexfridman This list is honestly kind of terrible my man. How did you select what you selected? Just things you haven't read?
@lexfridman Lex I would strongly recommend reading some books by Black writers. You're seriously considering reading "12 Rules for Life" before Baldwin, Du Bois, Douglass, Angelou, Ellison, Lorde, Morrison, Wright, Delany, Larsen, Butler, Hurston, or Davis? Come on. Broaden your perspective.
@lexfridman Hey @lexfridman please add The Anarchy by @DalrympleWill to your list. You will have you mind blown. I promise.
@lexfridman Why are these lists always so heavily dominated by male authors? Diversify your reading! Margaret Atwood, Maya Angelou, bell hooks, Rebecca Solnit, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie are just some… the list goes on.
@lexfridman when you’re done patting yourself on the back for this one might i recommend adding more women
@lexfridman Honestly, it’s s good list— nice mix of some very accessible popular fiction and true classics. I would drop The Brothers Karamazov — it’s around 1000 pages (seems longer) and not worth the time. Maybe sub Crime and Punishment.
@lexfridman Good list. You should also check out this book called The Catcher in the Rye.
@lexfridman No way this is real. Either you downloaded this “high school reading list” curriculum or some focus group compiled it and tweeted it for you
@lexfridman Thank you - when is yours coming @Breedlove22 ? 😉
