Or do a different medium or format. Fan media is inherently about limitations. If you can't cast an appropriate impressionist there's loads of options. Use a new character! Write it in prose! Find a way to write around the limitation. Use audio with narration. Options!
It's good that they're apologizing and taking accountability but I'm seeing far too many people excuse the casting. It's 2024. Everyone should know that if you cannot find a person that fits the race of the character you're writing, maybe you shouldn't have that character
