Wyoming passed a new law creating a legal structure for DAOs, furthering its status as the nation's friendliest state toward crypto. I spoke with @rothfuss and @milesjennings about the bill: fortune.com/crypto/2024/03…
AFAIK this means officers of the company can be held liable for actions of the DAO even if the officers / company doesn’t have majority control of DAO. Meaning if the “dao” does something illegal, those officers can get in trouble. Probably will lead to all these DAOs needing back doors in the code to protect officers, or for those who want better structure, incorporating somewhere else. Am I missing something?
@leomschwartz @rothfuss @milesjennings a legal structure for a supposedly autonomous organization that has no founders, no management team
