I think there’s a possibility that AGI will emerge. But to say AI will be perfect is an impossibility. Humans who are creative thinkers that break the rigidity of academia will thrive. From my experience, AI only expresses the normal distribution of any given prompt; everything it executes is leveled. However, this will increase as people continue to create outliers that push the threshold of “perfection”/normal.

VibeCoding = Slop machine? Vibecoding should be a precision tool right now, especially for functions and formulas. Software engineers and data scientists should use it this way and act more as software architects and orchestrators. If you’re just vibecoding by hitting generate like a monkey, then yes, you’re developing a gambling addiction. But Ngl gambling is fun at times!

I’m not sure (I’ve only used Pop!OS, Ubuntu, and Arch) but you don’t need to understand the terminal to get started with Linux, but learning it is super beneficial. Most systems default to Bash — it’s solid for beginners, but limited. Once you’re comfortable, switching to ZSH or Fish makes everything smoother, faster, and way more customizable. With Fish especially, you can create your own shortcuts and commands for literally anything — opening apps, launching workflows, whatever you want. I used to type one word on Arch and it would fire up my whole productivity setup across three monitors. Definite hacker vibes lol And yeah, Linux has always let you customize everything, but AI is like adding a turbo on your OS. You can completely customize your OS. It’s powerful.

Pretty much like everybody who’s used them has been saying, Gemini is an overpowered resource with vast knowledge. But it doesn’t quite perform the functions I’m looking for. Claude creates the best learning plans for me, while Grok is several levels below, though that encourages more critical thinking. When using Claude, I feel like a gambling monkey, just writing and waiting for the right output, whereas with Grok I feel more directed, and every now and then it delivers a nice dopamine hit with an awesome output. I just wish it had more plugins like Claude. Both ChatGPT and Gemini give me HR vibes. But I know people who’ve used Codex and swear by it. ChatGPT gives me AOL vibes like it was big at one point, but I don’t think it’s the future. I feel like that may be Grok and Claude.

@BeeferShitlord @AgentsOfMine @NoahKingJr I used to think that, but after using it with some projects, it genuinely impressed me. It's certainly not at Claude's level, but still impressive. AI advances so quickly that the AI hierarchy can drastically change overnight with an update.
