@leahfrombklyn I suspect the big boxes are prone to this same problem. I used to work in health and wellness compliance for WM, and my husband works in tech there now. At the corporate level, everything *is* about compliance. And the messaging coming out of corporate is antithetical to this...

@leahfrombklyn When my father-in-law had a stroke while working at Walmart they sat him in a chair to wait for his wife to drive 30+ minutes to pick him up. A hospital was 3 miles down the road.
@leahfrombklyn We are groomed to accept this from a young age with perfect attendance awards from elementary school onward. I worked with a guy (35-ish) who would come in sick all the time. He was so proud of his five year perfect attendance streak. 1/3
