🦅THE L.A. TIMES GUILD IS WALKING OUT🦅 We are calling for a one-day walkout TOMORROW, Jan. 19, in protest of management's proposal to cut staff and multiple unfair labor practices. docs.google.com/document/d/1gJ…
The management of the Los Angeles Times has announced that it intends to imminently lay off a significant number of journalists, and is asking the Guild to gut seniority protections in our union contract so they have vastly more freedom to pick whom to lay off.
This will greatly damage our ability to provide the accountability journalism so important to Southern California.
The Times has tried to intimidate members before from joining open bargaining sessions. It has surveilled members by photographing people when they've tried to speak to management collectively. These are violations of our rights to act together.

@latguild Hey siri. How does one learn to code
@latguild @Sarah_IsabelVee Perhaps you should report the truth, all of it!
@latguild Sad that no one will notice. Paper is more of a pamphlet nowadays. Tis tiny; tis very much trying to push an agenda with every story. Me continues to pay for delivery, but it gets harder and harder to justify.
