UPDATE: With cooperation from the Bureau of Street Services, we have found that no tree trimming permits have been issued over the last three years for this location outside Universal Studios. Also, the City did not issue any tree trimming permits for the latest tree trimmings.

The City of LA's Urban Forestry Division (UFD) will coordinate w/ StreetsLA’s Investigation & Enforcement Division (IED) to confirm if this case warrants the issuance of an administrative citation or hearing. If issued, the administrative citation fee starts at $250. (From BSS)
@lacontroller Sounds like much ado about nothing. Is this really what you should be spending public money on with all the serious issues currently facing the city?
@lacontroller Well with no production costs right now they can handle the fines.
@lacontroller If the city isn't doing the job, WE PAY THEM TO DO. Who do we, the citizens, sue? The city doesn't own the easement and the property owner is within their legal rights to maintain something the city failed on. @lacontroller
@lacontroller TREE LAW...TREE LAW...TREE LAW
@lacontroller @emilysears Least of the Los Angeles rot problem. Trees grow back, homeless don’t. They die.
@lacontroller @PDPdoesTrek I also have to wonder if an actual licensed arborist did this. That looks like extremely unhealthy levels of cutback for the trees.
@lacontroller @limitlessjest God help AMPTP if a striker suffers a heat stroke due to what they did. If so, the name on the building might end up being changed to WGA STUDIOS. Just sayin'
