Thankfully, better senses have prevailed with Supreme Court rejecting such pleas that want India to regress back to paper ballots. Asking for 100% verification of VVPAT is not for increased transparency, but to simply waste the country's resources and to cast aspersions on EVM's integrity. SC must refuse to entertain hearing similar pleas in the future to save time.
@labstamil Why didn't they raise objections in 2004 & 2009 ?
@labstamil Paper ballots aren't an option. But, machine-countable VVPAT slips (like punch cards) are one option to save our country from liberal propaganda - esp. outside India. BJP is gonna rule 90% of the states shortly. It's better to have one. @ECISVEEP
@labstamil It was being projected that this was the only reason for the opposition loosing. We are all aware how elections were held at the time when ballot papers were used
@labstamil This is not the end. Toolkits will be back with a review/curative petition. Just like their petition for an SIT probe into electoral bonds. There should be an SIT into the funds of this PIL mafia!
@labstamil This has become a regular drama. SC should start imposing the harshest penalties on these jokers so that anyone will think 10 times before doing this.
