BREAKING: Fani Willis has just written a scathing letter to Jim Jordan after the House Judiciary Committee Chairman launched an investigation into their investigation. She stated: “Your letter makes clear that you lack a basic understanding of the law, its practice, and the ethical obligations of attorneys generally and prosecutors specifically." Willis continued to say that the purpose of Jordan's request "is to obstruct a Georgia criminal proceeding and to advance outrageous partisan misrepresentations. Your job description as a legislator does not include criminal law enforcement, nor does it include supervising a specific criminal trial because you believe that doing so will promote your partisan political objectives." Do you agree with Willis' take?
@krassenstein How does this help bring the country together these back & forth attacks? It just adds to this being left vs right noise, DAs appearing to make decisions based on politics, etc. Two wrongs don’t make a right.
@darewecan I don't understand how people can say this is all based on politics from Willis' decisions. If you read the indictment it's pretty clear that there is some significant evidence pointing to possible crimes.
I don’t think the indictment is based on politics but Fani Willis appears to be trying to have it both ways where she puts out statements & uses phrasing that is overtly political yet when called on it she says she is focused on criminal only case. Jim Jordan is a politician - I expect hot air rhetoric from him & take it with a grain of salt. I expect a DA to solely focus on the law & not tell a member of Congress they lack a basic understanding of law, etc - that is where it crosses into political rhetoric.
@krassenstein @darewecan I read it. I have yet to see any specific evidence in it. Care to highlight it?
@krassenstein @darewecan I read it, I disagree with your position.
@krassenstein @grace0715 @darewecan Brian, everyone seems to forget that Grand Juries were involved in all of these indictments!
Much bigger crimes committed by many politicians have gone unpunished. This is an attempt to drain money, interfere with campaign and smear Trump's name, none of which are going to succeed and she knows it. Case will be dismissed in Supreme court. Trump will win and nothing will stop that.
@krassenstein @darewecan The real evidence hasn’t be told or seen.
@krassenstein @darewecan Average citizens serving on the Grand Jury thought so, too.
@krassenstein @darewecan Because they waited until he announced he was running to indict. Or how about they released the indictment paper before the grand jury finished. Don’t be naïve.
@krassenstein @darewecan I read it. There is no evidence whatsoever. It's all hearsay.
