@AudieCornish I love the work you and your colleagues do and have no doubt that the dynamics you mention are terrible. But it seems like the focus from NPR has been so much on his actions and character and barely at all on his critique.
@kennethjpruitt i don't work there anymore. & many noted there was a lot factually wrong about the essay. as for the focus -- trust there's a TON of dialogue happening ...stations, reporters, editors /executives. it's not happening publicly because they respect the institution and each other.
@kennethjpruitt and when they do write -- it is VERY thorough! slate.com/business/2024/…
@AudieCornish Thank you for pointing me in this direction. My apologies that I missed your move to CNN. They’re exceedingly lucky to have you. In related news: I can’t believe I’m interacting with THEE Audie Cornish. Massive respect for you.
@kennethjpruitt this is the kind of interaction i miss on this app. appreciate you for being engaged.
@kennethjpruitt @AudieCornish Likewise. The slate piece was truly remarkable in my view. It was a thoughtful, thorough, fair & honest critique. I really hope the bosses @ npr take it to heart. @NPRinskeep did a good piece in a rebuttal to URI’s error riddled article on substack. This 🧵 also did a great job.👇🏾
