Whatever one believes about crypto (many don't yet see the potential/need) major US policy decisions should be made by legislatures and regulatory process, not unelected officials. Process exists in part to avoid throwing the baby out with the bathwater wsj.com/articles/us-re…
@katie_haun @ljxie Beautifully written, @katie_haun . Thank you!
DAOs do not pay taxes. Self-custody investors do not pay taxes. 'Innovation' is NOT a good thing if total tax take goes down. THIS is the argument you need to deal with. Hand-waving about 'innovation' and implying that crypto will bring the same US employment/tax base as cars and 'dot.com' monopolies is skipping a key step in the argument.
@katie_haun @ljxie Not only are they attacking crypto covertly with Operation Choke Point 2.0, they have in the recent couple of months started a sue-a-thon in broad daylight too.
@katie_haun @Astra79418494 and the babies are the real potential not the bathwater! ;)
@katie_haun @jchervinsky Why are the problem-makers trying to shut down the solution? We need a better process and better voices.
@katie_haun Beautiful piece in the WSJ. Congratulations and thank you for your contributions to the crypto industry.
@katie_haun @ZeMariaMacedo Absolutely, I couldn't agree more! It's so important to have a system in place that ensures the safety of everyone involved.
