Congrats to all those students out there accepting their admissions offers to graduate school today. To those that didn't get any offers, hang in there. I was not accepted to any of the grad schools I applied to the first time around, and only accepted to 2 out of 6 the second 1/
time around. I took the extra year to better my research experience, and really think about what I wanted out of grad school, so I could write more impactful research/personal statements. I also asked for a lot of feedback and worked hard to improve myself. Keep your head up.

It always amazes me what we can get from an organ donor pancreas with type 1 diabetes. Tremendously valuable for understanding the disease. Massive respect to families that support research. (Reddish staining indicates cells with insulin).
I’m constantly humbled by the difference my wife and all teachers, counselors, and school administrators make every day. Today they made a bus load of young women scientists!
