And this one threatens to burn down City Hall. Sheffield’s handlers do not deny her relationship with businessman Marvin Walker. There are too many salacious photographs and videos for that. But Sheffield’s minions are quietly whispering to reporters that if any money changed hands between the two, it was Sheffield helping out her former lover when his funds were short. For his part, Walker claims that he was Sheffield’s bagman while she was a member of city council, acting as the courier who collected illegal kickbacks on her behalf and deposited them in her mailbox. Walker came to meet me with a heavy portfolio of videos, text messages, and screenshots. Walker described an ornate scheme—one of many—where Sheffield used her public position and municipal contacts to help steer lucrative real-estate deals to a pair of prominent businessmen. Those men, in turn, would provide Walker with the quid-pro-quo: wads of cash as thick as a head of cabbage. Walker estimates that he collected and delivered at least $200,000 to Sheffield. Then last week, as Smith was walking downtown with his 7-year-old son, four uniformed cops jumped out of their squad cars, cuffed Smith, and seized his cellphone. “They never presented a warrant, didn't articulate suspicion, they just snatched my phone,” Smith said. “This administration is off the hook, man. Not good.” When contacted by telephone, Chief Bettison said, “It’s an open investigation, I cannot comment on it.” This shouldn’t be taken as a story of lust, but rather a story about the lust for power and money. It’s a story about judgment and the company Mary Sheffield keeps. A scorned and sleazy lover trying to settle a score. A mayor using the police force as a personal palace guard. It’s fair game for the public to ask if their city is being run like an organized crime racket. Are we going back to the bad old days in Detroit? Maybe. Or maybe the bad old days never left and we just couldn’t see it.

The next 10 years will involve you getting ticketed autonomously a dozen times a day with your every location tracked, social media post analyzed for potential of violence, and your conversations monitored. Most policing will be reduced to simply arrested and serving warrants issued by autonomous systems. Every smart device has been spying on us for years but that data was useless until recently. "Big data," as it was known during the Obama administration, was parroted as the solution to society's problems. They could take all information and predict crime, stop terrorism, and issue vetter advertising. It's why the NSA started spying and why they built Prism and other data centers (absolutely miniscule by today's standards btw) The problem was that the data couldn't be parsed. AI solved that. The bulk of these coming data centers aren't being introduced to make Grok gooner videos or write code. They're going to monitor you. They will be the chains for our enslavement. The "permanent underclass" is real and it's what everyone subject to this demiurgic system will be a part of.

The Imagination Library sends a book to a kid every month from the time they’re born until they’re 5 years old. These messages are from the first and last books sent. It’s hard to overstate what Dolly Parton did to not only improve the lives and educations of so many kids, but the impact she had on southern Appalachia as a whole. The land once known for uneducated, backwards hillbillies would not be known as the forests of rolling wonder and communities built on kindness and folklore without her. My friend’s son was heartbroken today, thinking Dolly herself was sending his monthly books by hand, and she might as well have been. I’ve grown up, and my daughter will grow up, in a land made better because of her and there isn’t a way to say “thank you” enough for that. These mountains are something special, made by God, and worth remembering for every story in them and every story they inspire. Dolly never forgot that, and her legacy will be the same as the hills she came from.

Very interesting and clever political activity around Michigan’s senate race. Print newsletters made to appear ostensibly as a legitimate media platform have landed in mailboxes linked to The Michigan Independent (TMI) with oddly inaccurate headlines. The current “issue” with a byline by Alyssa Burr incorrectly states @AbdulElSayed is a “veteran”. To the best of my knowledge El-Sayed has never publicly claimed or implied veteran status. This print copy was received by a Livonia resident allegedly today. The Michigan Independent is a 501c4 non-profit under the control of a Washington DC tax exempt charitable foundation, American Independent Media (501c3), branding itself as a far left wing progressive advocacy organization. AIM has deep financial ties to Future Forward PAC led by prominent Democrat Party Operative, Chauncey McLean, who controlled the $700 million ad blitz campaign for Kamala Harris in 2024. TMI appears to only operate as a news platform during election cycles with limited social media reach, but focused on physical newsletters targeted at swing voters based on advanced data metrics of voter tendencies by address – information that is expensive to collect and purchase. We’ve reached out to Ms. Burr for clarification and have not received a response as of this post.

What happens when all of these “compiled dossiers” on American citizens gets sold to one of the billion-dollar data repository companies like Mercor or SurgeAI? It ends up in China like the rest of the information they’ve already compiled. It’s not just your own government building a case against you, it’s private companies building cases and selling them to the highest foreign bidder. Take a step back and look at the entire system. There are snakes in the grass everywhere and they’re all working together.

Dolly was born in East Tennessee and used her success to make it better. So much money from her attractions and fame came into our mountain communities and was put into schools and infrastructure. She made the Imagination Library to help childhood literacy in Appalachia. Every month since our daughter was born, the library has sent her a book with a note from Dolly encouraging her to be proud of where she’s from and to learn the importance of the stories that built us. Her husband passed last year and she spoke of being reunited with him. I’m glad heaven is a little sweeter, and sings a little better for it. Rest in peace to the Queen of Appalachia, Jolene could never.

Looked into this one, and it does appear they’re including a number of Old Testament stories and things like the Beatitudes. On the one hand, I don’t like the idea of giving teachers the responsibility of explaining Christian faith when they don’t have the education to do so, and I think teaching religion in public school is a slippery slope to bad things. On the other, it is important to understand the cultural foundations of the country, which include Protestant Christianity as a major player. Even for non-chrisitians, that comprehension is going to help people grasp why things happened the way they did. Realistically the education system is a mess and needs major reforms but I don’t think requiring public schools to teach about scripture is one of them. If parents want their kids learning Christian principles in school, they should send them to Christian schools. If they don’t have the money, they should receive a voucher for the money which would have gone to the public school for their child’s education.

Flock’s surveillance cameras have already sparked outrage. WIRED reconstructed its next-generation AI system, already in use by some police, to confirm it goes much further than tracking license plates. wired.com/story/flock-sa…

Look at the code WIRED pulled from Flock’s own servers. Flock built an AI tool called OS Investigate.🚨👀 It accesses "commercial databases that contain Social Security numbers, dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, relatives and associates." It also accesses "police case files, 911 dispatch logs, and commercial identity records." The prompts can generate dossiers ("workups") on people based purely on driving patterns, without a crime, a plate, or a name. It Can identify drivers, track patterns, find "witnesses," generate suspicion based on behavior without a target. Code was found publicly on Flock's website. 🚨 Flock is performing automated, suspicionless background checks (pulling SSNs, DOBs, relatives) using commercial databases on citizens who have committed no crime, have no warrant, and are not named in any case file. The trigger is purely an AI algorithm flagging their driving pattern. 🚨 NO officer initiates the search for the suspect, Flock's AI essentially acting as the investigator, but doing so through commercial data brokers. Flock pulls consumer reports without a permissible purpose. ⚠️⚠️ Why did Flock build OS Investigate? Because selling LPR cameras is a hardware game with limits. Selling an "AI investigator" is a high-margin SaaS play. To justify the valuation ($1B+), they need to monopolize the investigative workflow. To do that, they fused LPR data (which they hold) with police records (CJI) and commercial data (SSNs). ⚠️ Why are they doing this? Because Flock’s hardware is a commodity. The cameras are just metal on a pole. The real valuation the nearly $1 billion in venture capital is in their proprietary datasets. To justify that valuation, they have to build a total surveillance map of America that links physical movement to full digital and financial identities. They cannot legally buy that data on the open market because of the FCRA. So they built an AI to force the police to pull it for them. Flock gets the fused data, the police get the dossier, and Flock gets to declare the new AI-generated identity maps as "Flock Property" under their contracts. ⚠️⚠️ Flock is using the police as a legal shield to run unauthorized mass identity resolution queries for their own proprietary training and profit. The "perpetual license" terms gives Flock ownership of these AI-generated dossiers. They are building a national private surveillance database of SSNs linked to movement patterns, bypassing the FCRA by routing the queries through police terminals.🚨 Now look at their new August 2026 "Trust" updates. They announced a reduction in data retention to 7 days, but they created an exception called "Evidence Mode" where searched data is preserved instead of aging out. 🚨 Here is the trap. If they actually deleted data in 7 days, their AI prompts which ask for people "arrested more than twice in two years" would not function.🚨 The AI needs a multi-year historical window to track patterns. "Evidence Mode" is the backdoor they built to force all searched data into permanent retention so their AI can keep running. The 7-day retention is theater for the city councils. The permanent retention is the actual product.🚨 And the Audit Assistance" they say is to catch police misuse? It is a complete deception. The audit logs track the police officer. But the AI generates the lead before the officer interacts with the system. The AI does the suspicionless searching in the backend. The officer just clicks the prewritten prompt. The audit log captures the officer clicking a button, but it does not capture the unauthorized API calls Flock’s AI is making to the commercial databases to pull the SSNs.
