There are indeed countless nuances about how to get good at drawing, but most people struggle with the number one step: Showing up to draw. A thread. 🧵
At the risk of revealing that I periodically search for mentions of drawabox, this breakdown of concepts between theory and practice is *brilliant*. I think I'd add a practical component of construction coming off deconstruction, but as a whole this is a great approach.

@justdrawabox funny thing i found that while randomly scimming thru google and pinterest . i also remember a more detailed one describing 'levels' of fundamentals sorted by what should be learned first to last but i lost it to time. it was insighting despite originating from twitter

I wonder if artists being accused of gatekeeping re:AI is a byproduct of the misconception that art requires 'talent'. That ability to make art is nature's lottery that can only be rebeled against with AI. That's false, it's a teachable skill. Example,my art at 16 vs today at 31.
okay so i've been following along drawabox lessons and i have to say that i'm much more confident with my lines and not just blindly making marks, i'm actually actively thinking about it
my last two cow paintings which one is your favourite?
Another workflow glimpse: 1. Start with animating two simple lines. 2. Get those lines in an isometric angle. 3. Frame by frame the shoes drawing on top.
Day 2 of the challenge: mostly spent time reading through the material presented in DrawABox. Fun fact this is probably my 3rd or 4th time trying to get through lesson 1 but I feel like I'm in a much better place where I believe I can do this. Haven't gotten to the homework yet
