The other day, my son called my mom a “liar” 🫠 Iykyk, being called a “liar” in your own home ain’t gone fly!! But, she’s learned how to redirect. So she said, “Jax. You do not call me a liar. If you don’t believe something, you can say, ‘I don’t think that’s true.’”
@MissBeeBright My child used to say this when he thought I said something wrong, or if something changed in the schedule. I had to redirect a few times before he stopped. I believe its because they feel deceived or disappointed or to point out that an adult is wrong. Definitely changed it.
@justagirlx10 Yes!! I think people are forgetting that these are very young children who are still very early in understanding what their words mean & how to use them to properly explain how they’re feeling!
