You knew I was going to write this up. You did. nytimes.com/2024/03/08/us/…
The report is online for those who want to read it themselves. media.defense.gov/2024/Mar/08/20…
@julianbarnes You, sir, are an embarrassment to the profession; you will do better in some comms/PR agency
@julianbarnes Did your story appear in a print edition, if so, when?
@julianbarnes If you were living in Germany in 1942, you'd be writing propaganda for the national socialists.
@julianbarnes Well it was more like people knew you were going to be one of the ones the DoD would hand-select to give a secretive briefing to right before a report came out. No red flags there. I eagerly await your article on how Senate leadership has accused the DoD of lying to Congress.
@julianbarnes Why even bother getting into journalism? You’re a DOD mouthpiece. Do some actual investigative work.
@julianbarnes 'We must realise that what looks unknown to us [may be explainable]' - what part of this report suggests that all sightings have a prosaic explanation? This is a completely different issue to whether contractors have tech of unknown origin (which is the real question).
