In case you missed it. I spoke to @AndrewMarr9 this morning before he spoke to @MattHancock Thanks to all CCGs who are now taking it upon themselves to prioritise LD people for the vaccine 👏🙏
@jowhiley @AndrewMarr9 @MattHancock Dear Jo thank you for speaking up about this.
@jowhiley @AndrewMarr9 @MattHancock That includes my son who had his jab last Wednesday. Whether or not that was as a result of your campaigning I say "thank you" for standing up for for those whose voices are unheard.
@jowhiley @AndrewMarr9 @MattHancock You’re awesome 👏🏽
@jowhiley @AndrewMarr9 @MattHancock I saw you and you were a brilliant advocate for people with a learning disability and frankly Hancock lied and wasn’t challenged. Best wishes to your sister and family.
@jowhiley @AndrewMarr9 @MattHancock You and your sister were in an awful position and coming out from one. I wish you'd avoided using words like "burden" in your interview though. Given the ghosts of eugenics that utterly howl around disability there's always the danger of spooked people spooking spooked people.
@jowhiley @AndrewMarr9 @MattHancock Such a shame we weren’t listened to sooner. I’ve said it before, to not prioritise people with learning disabilities for the vaccine is national neglect. We must keep shouting & we must make the reasonable adjustments so people can access the vaccine.
@jowhiley @AndrewMarr9 @MattHancock How is your sister Jo as you didn’t know this morning, I hope she’s getting much better!!!
