I’ve just learned from another PI that all foreign trainees are evacuated by their embassies. The labs are emptying. This will impact Israeli science, unfortunately. I don’t think we can do much about it, but if you think there is anything we, your American colleagues, can do to help - just let us know.

@jonykipnis How can we help the Israeli investigators?
The evacuation of foreign trainees is a real setback for Israeli science, but it's also a setback for international cooperation. The fact that scientists, who are supposed to be bastions of collaboration and understanding, are being forced to pull back from working together is a real shame. It's a perfect example of how geopolitical tensions can negatively impact something as noble and important as scientific research.
@jonykipnis I know I speak for my fellow colleagues at the Neuroscience Institute of GSU in Atlanta that we would be happy to host in our labs or whatever else in needed. JLMK what we can do. @GSU_Research @GSUBnB @gsuneuro
@jonykipnis convince your prime minister that war must stop now
@jonykipnis Perhaps we could host some of these trainees for couple of months in the lab?
@jonykipnis 100% agree- to our colleagues in Israel, please let us know how we can help…
@jonykipnis I will be happy to host them in my little lab. I already emailed few colleagues.
@jonykipnis Have someone host any Palestinian trainee?
