Dear TV The problem w the Trump Town Hall wasn't platforming...or a fragile siloed audience unable to be exposed to newsworthy opinions antithetical to their own...the problem was an event that was clearly negotiated to Trump's approval. An ode to access.
We promise good sir...we are no longer Fake News!!! An enemy of the people!!! Let us prove it to you!!! We are fair and good and will do this however you would like...just come back...
I learned nothing from this town hall about Trump and his most ardent supporters I haven't known since 2016. I learned a lot about CNN.
@jonstewart Now go to the border. Do a report on the catastrophe happening on Biden's watch. It's called journalism.
Exactly! And maybe that's why we need to let that type of thing happen so we can see what we're actually working against. The idea of democracy dying in darkness, it's true, people should be talking about this more. But people will barely pay attention and forget when the next shiny object comes along.

@jonstewart What do you think of @TuckerCarlson coming to twitter? And might you meet him again like this? youtube.com/watch?v=aFQFB5…
@jonstewart Do you plan to interview @realDonaldTrump then? Expose who he really is?
@jonstewart Fascinating. I use to brag about going to the William and Mary university as you when I was younger. And then you disrespected those who served.
@jonstewart Jon Stewart is the epitome of CNN style fragility. Is there anyone in media who has mastered the snarky exhausted eyeroll more than Stewart? He’s all snark, no substance - just like CNN, takes dubious claims & ridicules anyone who challenges them. Trump would have crushed him.
@jonstewart Thank you. Jon. You know how the sausage is made. This was not the 1st time @CNN has pulled something like this w/Trump, but it’s the most unabashedly blatant.
