🚨🚨MAJOR BREAKING: Mike Johnson said today that he plans this week to advance a long-stalled national security spending package to aid Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan and other allies, along with a separate bill aimed at mollifying conservatives who’ve been vehemently opposed to backing Kyiv. His announcement came days after Iran launched a large aerial attack on Israel, amplifying calls for Congress to move quickly to approve the pending aid bill. Emerging from a meeting in which he briefed GOP lawmakers on his plan, Johnson said he’ll cobble together a legislative package that roughly mirrors the $95 billion aid bill the Senate passed two months ago but that is broken down into three pieces. Lawmakers would vote separately on a bill providing money for Israel, one allocating funding for Ukraine, and a third with aid for Taiwan and other allies. They would cast a fourth vote on a separate measure containing other policies popular among Republicans.

@joncoopertweets Smells like more MAGA chicanery to me, to nullify efforts to move the discharge position forward and defuse #MoscowMarge’s threats to depose #MoscowMike…meanwhile the situation in Ukraine grows more dire by the hour.
@joncoopertweets Hasn’t he figured out yet that the Senate knows what they are doing and he doesn’t?!? 🙄
@joncoopertweets @AliAdair22 House Republicans have become the greatest campaign ground force for Donald Trump's presidential run. They are doing everything they can to make Biden look bad.
@joncoopertweets Okay, the very last thing Mikey says is”we’ll get it done this week. That way we can leave knowing we’ve done our job”. WTF does that mean? Surely they’re not taking another two week recess.
