A6: Honestly, I've found engaging with other like-minded, student-centered educators online has been great PD. I've gotten more relevant, applicable PD from doing things like this than the mandated stuff my school board makes me do. 🤷♂️ #LearnLAP

A5: For many of my Ss, technology helps them develop confidence to try something they may assume they can't do without it. For ex, I had my students help me design our learning space with a tool I made using GAFE. I merged their ideas to build the space we have now. #LearnLAP

"a better way to learn" would be to lower #onted class sizes and properly fund things like Spec Ed , ESL, Mental Health while bringimg cutting edge technology into the classroom to inspire the future. A "ban" on things that are already prohibited does absolutely nothing

A1 - To me, innovation is coming up with new ideas, ways to teach and ways to learn. From a student's perspective, I feel like innovation is coming up with new ways to do old things or brainstorming new ideas, like what we did with our entrepreneurship program. #LearnLAP

Fifteen years ago, for many states, 4 years of high school math became a requirement for HS students. Some of the Algebra 2 concepts from back then are currently being introduced in the 7th grade! I.e. linear systems For the vast majority of kids, we need to slow the heck down!
I’m curious how this will be any more effective or helpful than the “ban” he enforced in 2019. I expect that smartphones will continue to be valuable learning and science tools in my classroom regardless. #OntEd
