Some highly online Republicans are pissed about student loan forgiveness -- even if they themselves benefited from small business loans that were forgiven. What they haven't said: do they see the value in an educated American workforce or not? Should be seen as a national asset!
Other nations aren't in any confusion about this subject. A more educated workforce produces more innovation and more wealth. They know that all over the world. Why don't we know it here? (That's a hypothetical question, you don't need to answer)
@joe_hill I’m a teacher w/ a masters degree. Going into my 15th year teaching. I qualify for food stamps. Our system is broken. 😢

@joe_hill @StephenKing Education today is mainly a nation asset as an economic stimulus for capitalists to make a buck off of students. Many developed nations have free university for any citizen able to pass entry exams. Just not America, now the second richest nation on earth.
@joe_hill @StephenKing "educated" in what? Gender studies? Postmodern philosophy? French poetry? What percentage of STEM grads who took on debt need help paying it off? And will anything about the system itself change? Or will we keep giving loans to any B student to study "whatever"?
@joe_hill @StephenKing When you agree to take on debt and the government doesn't shut you down while you're trying to repay it, you really should repay it.
@joe_hill An "educated" workforce is a hindrance. Most employers want things done thier way and an education standa in the way of that. Most of the loans that need to be forgiven are people who a. Didn't make it through college or b. Got a useless degree that qualifies them to manage mcd
@joe_hill @StephenKing If it’s not for Corporate nor wealthy, it’s welfare. SAD. So much hypocrisy
