Misogyny is something experienced by women. Rape is a crime largely experienced by women. In my experience as both a prosecutor & a victim of rape threats the men who make them generally have a pretty good idea that their victim is a woman. Let’s get real.
@joannaccherry So you wish to exclude trans people from a law that makes treating them with rape illegal? It should be illegal to threaten a woman with rape, but not a trans woman? This is your stance
@joannaccherry I think someone has lost the plot. Trying to knit for #Humza is looking like a fool. Perhaps a challenge is needed. @_KateForbes
@joannaccherry Reality seems to be a locus your boss seldom visits !
@joannaccherry Should a man raping a woman carry a heavier tarrif than a man raping a man?
@joannaccherry Yes. Tw cannot experience misogyny. Even if misogyny is happening they cannot truly experience it.
@joannaccherry Can you advise how many cases you have been involved where the victim is a transwoman?
@joannaccherry It’s certainly interesting moral spaghetti - I wonder if you think the inclusion of trans women makes rape less ‘rape’? Or indeed how this practically harms anyone.
