@CPierceUK @afneil HMRC incorrectly calculated my income tax incorrectly, admitting their mistake, but adding if it didn’t pay them the extra £3 they told me I now owed due to their mistake, within a given time frame I would be liable to be fined a £1000 as a starter

@DanielJHannan Meanwhile out in the real UK world I’m about to go on my food bank collection which provides hundreds of thousands of meals to people who can’t afford to eat. It’s worth repeating that whilst it’s ok to give billions of pounds to a foreign power our own citizens go hungry

A friend of mine volunteers for the Samaritans and tells me they’re proposing to close approx 100 “branches” and asking their volunteers to “work” from home. ATM two people work a shift to support each other emotionally. On a call at home, on your own and your baby needs you ?

Can we have a democratic vote on which BBC programmes and presenters could be axed. For me Ditch or sell Eastenders to an independent. Get shot of McEnroe at Wimbledon saves approx £200,000. Certain Breakfast TV journalists are on £360,000 pa etc All paid for by licence payers

@jk_rowling Why does anyone bother with tweeting/xing whatever it’s called ? It’s poisonous, pointless, a waste of time and emotional energy. Go for a walk with your dog instead. You’ll get more satisfaction and pleasure. If you don’t have a dog then just walk

I watched a little of Ms Abbot’s speech in the commons re British Steel reading from an iPad. Other MPs are equally culpable most, not all, read from a script. This used to be called out, now it’s the norm and should be banned along with the use of mobile phones in the chamber.
