Honest talk on "school choice". 🧵 We have a son who is having a hard time in public school as resources are stretched thin. So we applied him for private school hoping the smaller class size would help with teachers that are not always feeling like their job is under fire.
Now keep in mind, we are able to afford a good private school. I can make some adjustments to our lifestyle and I can work extra to make up the difference. We are not, however, in that category of being able to do an extra large annual donation to the school.
@jgreghenderson Hey man, thanks for being real!! Thanks for not trashing public ed and understanding the issues they deal with every day. As a 23rd year educator, I’m sorry you couldn’t receive the services your son needed. No doubt it wasn’t from lack of desire on the educators…
