@LilahRPGtt It's exhausting, but so prevalent. I grew up among people who seemed to think that life is a zero-sum game... you can only improve your circumstances by worsening someone else's. No real concept of lifting everyone's circumstances, because they're scared they'll lose.

@MeetJess @1goodtern That's why most countries nixed testing as much as they could as early as they could and told us to live with it. PCR testing and sequencing makes it too easy to prove from where/who you caught it (/s). 😕

Today I'm making a couple of small workshop wall shelf units. The ply I'm using is from a bundle of offcuts I bought from a local kitchen maker. There's some flaws etc but it's still much nicer than hardware store ply, cheaper, and I didn't need to wrangle with a full sheet.

Trying to explain to 12 that maybe he doesn't want the 1777 musket-shaped object he's making for a class assignment to look *too* authentic... I've already caught him swinging his go at the Maori pouwhenua around in the backyard.
