The chances of getting a full-strength matchup with good teams in the NBA in the regular season feels 50/50 at best. The few games that we really look forward to almost always have a star sitting. It has become a terrible regular season product. It’s time to shorten the season.
@itsjwills The only way they shorten the season was game tickets will be more expensive.
@itsjwills 58 games, play everyone once home & away would be electric. Won’t happen I’m aware but I’d watch more games for sure
@itsjwills This is why ESPN etc has turned coverage in to a soap opera of free agency or useless mvp arguments. Even they know the games themselves are glorified exhibitions
@itsjwills Nothing will change until they start losing money with tv contracts and ticket sales
@itsjwills sad that this is reality . starting not to even watch the regular season anymore and just wait for the playoffs
@itsjwills It's just never gonna happen. Too much money at stake keeping 82 (or adding more). You could expand the duration of the season, but that'll never happen either. Players would never go for it. We're stuck.
@itsjwills Nothing looks like a playoff game because teams focus on their own schemes, load management, habits, testing plays… in the playoffs teams adjust to each other. I don’t think we ever get playoff bbal, even in close games.
