I actually don’t think we are at all as busy as we pretend to be and I think we have plenty of time to do the things we pretend we want to do. It’s just that we are all tethered to our phones 24/ and it seems like we have no free time. But we do, we just spend it online.

Je remercie sincèrement l'équipe réalisatrice du film "Muganga" et le collectif Pona Congo de m'avoir convié à Kinshasa dans le cadre d'un échange en marge de sa projection. Ce film nous interpelle sur l'utilisation du viol comme arme de guerre, une tactique méthodique visant à profaner notre identité sociétale et à nous assujettir pour exploiter nos ressources naturelles. Autrefois, les pneus qui roulaient à travers le monde étaient gonflés par l'air de souffrance de nos ancêtres. Aujourd'hui, le boom du caoutchouc a cédé la place aux minerais stratégiques. Chaque smartphone, chaque batterie électrique, est alimenté par le sang de la population congolaise dans l'indifférence de la communauté internationale. Il est inadmissible que la richesse de notre sol continue d'assouvir l'avidité vorace des révolutions industrielles et technologiques mondiales, tout en nous laissant dans le deuil. La souffrance des populations congolaises n'est ni plus ni moins légitime que celle que l'on observe en Ukraine ou au Moyen-Orient et mérite par conséquent la même attention. Peuple congolais, notre maison commune brûle ! Il est urgent de surpasser les clivages politiques pour nous réveiller, nous indigner et agir dans un élan de solidarité nationale, afin de préserver ce sol pour lequel nos ancêtres se sont battus, d'appeler le monde à reconnaître enfin notre souffrance et de mettre fin à cette énième guerre d'agression et d'occupation qui nous est imposée par le Rwanda
