LRT is a very interesting article. here is one story told in it: Before Marufuji debuted, a fan wanted to take a pic with Misawa and handed Marufuji the camera. When he saw this, Misawa got mad and said ''That guy's a pro wrestler, not a cameraman''
MISAWA: oi, thats a wrestler you just handed your camera to, find someone else! FAN: ah!! i'm so sorry.... uh... ah, omori-san! OMORI: hey wait, aren't i a wrestler as wel- MISAWA: take the fucking pic omori
kotaro suzuki is interviewed here and he recounts how when misawa died he had to go back to the hotel to clear out the room he was staying at, and he distinctly remembers a copy of SUPER ROBOT WARS for the GBA. ''he really likes manga and games'' kotaro says. this is a journey
Two years before he died, Misawa wrote a letter intended to be sent, in case he died in the ring, to his last opponent. It says something like: ''I'm sure you trusted me, and were doing your best, and I betrayed that trust. I'm really sorry.
''Still, I want you to continue wrestling. It may be painful, but I want you to continue.'' Akitoshi Saito decided to keep going after getting this letter, and to this day he packs it in his bag for every show on every tour.
